Project Overview: Our client, a Principal for 21 years at her school, known for driving impact with the students, staff and community contacted J’Miracle Designs for a redesign of her office space and Aftercare Room. We were so honored to take on the design project because our concepts would create new spaces for focus, exploration, imagination and play!

The Aftercare Room design project’s objective was to create identified stations throughout the space to ignite, “owning your magic!” The labeled stations were paint brushed… literally! We partnered with a Mural Artist to add mural paintings with integrated empowerment statements along the border of the walls. Our client was so ecstatic with the concept drawings. Each mural painting had its own unique elements to introduce the space. And lastly, the existing furniture was reorganized to align with the corresponding mural statements.

Our clients (i.e., Principal, staff and kids) were beyond EXCITED with the new look of the space. The Aftercare Room has “LIFE!” “It’s better than the old thing!”- states some of the kids in unison. We’ll accept this statement as a compliment. LOL”
